Beginner Sticky Toffie Pudding

Ingridients:

  • 1kg pitted dates
  • 1050ml water
  • 5tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 1kg self raising flour
  • 750g demerara sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 275g unsalted butter
  • 20g baking powder

Method:

Boil the dates and water with baking soda for about 3 minutes (you can add a sachet of Eral Gray tea). In the meantime, beat the eggs, butter and sugar in a mixer until fluffy, gradually add the flour and baking powder. Finally, add the cooked dates.Bake at 160 degrees for 65-70 minutes. Do not open owen until end of baking.
